Malpua rabri quick recipe for holi theme kitty party
How to make Malpua-
What is Malpia? It is a refined flour pancakes fried in ghee and dunked in sugar syrup. Malpua is one of the special Holi festival sweet dish that is best served with rabri.
Ingredients for Rabri
Maida (Flour) (For Rabri)
1/2 tsp-Elaichi (Cardamom) Powder
2 tbsp-chopped Mixed Dried Fruits
1-1/2 cups-Sugar (For Sugar Syrup)
2 cups (300 ml)-Water (For Sugar Syrup)
1 cup (150 ml)-Milk
1/4 tin (100g)-NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk
Ingredients for Maalpua
1 cup (150 ml)-Water
1 pinch-Baking Powder
for shallow frying-Oil
1/2 tin (200g)-NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk
Ingredients for sugar syrup
2 cups or approx. 300 ml Water
Crumble paneer finely. Add 3 to 4 tbsp. milk and make paste with maida. Now mix NESTLE MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk and add the rest of milk and boil.
Add maida paste to milk stirring continuously. On low flame cook it for 5 minutes.
Add chopped nuts, paneer and elaichi powder. Remove from gas stove. Cool and refrigerate it.
Sugar Syrup Recipe
Put sugar and water in a pan and bring to a boil. Keep aside.
1) In a bowl add NESTLE MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk, sooji, maida, water and baking powder. 2) Mix all and leave for 10-15 mins. Crumble paneer very finely – till smooth and add to the above mixture. Beat well.
3) Heat oil in a flat frying pan (for shallow frying – only 1 to 2 mm layer of oil). Pour 1 small ladle of batter to make a small, flat malpua about 2-1/2”- 3” in diameter. Fry till both sides get evenly browned.
4) Remove and soak in sugar syrup for ½ minute. Remove from syrup. Arrange on a shallow plate. Top with rabri and nuts and serve hot to all ladies. All ladies will appreciate the quick desert made by you.
