Face care during winter season
In winters skin becomes dry and chirpy and loses its natural moistour. Dry and cold air outside and central heat indoors remove the moisture from skin and make it chirpy and dry.
Similarly long exposure of skin in hot water also makes skin dry and itchy. For this add some drops of olive oil in bath water save skin from rashes and dryness or one can add a cup of whole milk in bath water while taking bath as it makes skin soft and supple.
Tips for Healthy Skin During winters –

-Avoid taking long hot showers. They may sound appealing, but they remove moistour from skin and make it rough and dry.
-Eat warm cooked food and drink warm water as it clean the skin and keep healthy.
increase water intake especially during cold windy conditions.
-The skin on your feet tends to dry and crack more in winter. Treat your feet to a relaxing soak at night, three times a week.
-Exfoliate can also help the skin on the winter season. This will remove dead cells and allow the skin to absorb extra moisture.
-Try to eat fruits and vegetables high in water content at every meal.
-The Amla fruit (Gooseberry) is the richest known natural source of vitamin C. Herbs such as Amla provide concentrated nourishment to the deeper layers of the skin.
-Honey is extremely calming and helps reduce redness and soreness.
-Drink a lots of water, which helps to transport nutrients to the skin cells, keeping them nourished.
-Drink a glass of hot water with lemon. It will de-tox your entire system, including the liver and gall bladder.
-Apply a thick layer of moisturizing sunscreen to the face before going out.
