Eating healthy means eating smartly and balanced. A balanced diet means getting the right amount of food and liquids for supplying nutrition and energy to body cells, tissues and organs for there right functioning. In order to get true balanced diet, opt majority of daily calories from fresh vegetables and fruits, starchy foods, whole grains and lean proteins.
It’s not just about what you eat, but when you eat is also equally important.
1. Eat breakfast, and eat smaller meals throughout the day. As a healthy breakfast can jumpstart your metabolism, and small meals can keep your energy level up.
2. Avoid eating at night. Try to eat dinner earlier and fast for 14-16 hrs until breakfast. Studies show that eating only when you are most active and giving your digestive system a long break each day may help to regulate weight.
